Tada Noodles is a jjajangmyeon obsessed restaurant!
We can’t believe this famous and extremely popular noodle dish from Korea is hard to find in many parts of New York City and not well known.
Tada Noodles aims to bring the classic dishes of Korean-Chinese cuisine to NYC and make it as easily accessible as it is in Korea, where jjajangmyeon takeout is on another level. We are still working to expand our menu with more classic dishes and have a little fun with it along the way with some menu items that are fun twists on the classics.
Our name, Tada Noodles, is a play on the Korean word for jja-jang 짜장 which is similar sounding to the Korean word for Tada (jja-jan) 짜잔!
Jjajangmyeon is South Korea’s favorite takeout comfort food!
This sweet and savory noodle dish is a Korean-Chinese creation with noodles that are topped with a thick dark black bean sauce made of onions, cabbage, and typically ground pork. It is considered peak comfort food and a solid go-to for a dinner for one. In South Korea, more than 7 million bowls are sold every day!
Also known as jajangmyeon, jjajang myeon, jajang myeon!
Little note regarding our noodles from the owner:
You may find that our noodles are thicker and not the typical yellow noodles that you might find at other Korean-Chinese sit-down locations. From growing up eating jjajangmyeon all my life, I know how frustrating it is to get noodles delivered that are stuck together and hard to mix. We specifically chose these noodles because though they do stick a little, they mix much better and are very tasty! Happy mixing!
To put it simply, you can consider Korean-Chinese food to be dishes inspired from Chinese cuisine and reinvented with Korean spices and flavors.
The result is amazingly flavorful dishes that has morphed into a staple cuisine in Korea that is completely unique from the Chinese food of China, and can typically only be found in Korea. Here at Tada Noodles we work hard to bring these dishes to NYC with our own touches while staying true to the authentic flavors of this must try part of Korean cuisine!
